Managing Director - Martin Brown B.Sc
Martin has over 25 years experience in agrochemical sales, marketing and business operations roles with ICI, Astra Zeneca and Syngenta covering UK, Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Pakistan and Eastern Europe. Before joining Exosect, Martin worked in a senior management role within a major international agricultural distribution company expanding and developing their distribution and retail operations in Eastern Europe.
Finance Director - David Richardson, ACMA, AMCT, B.Sc (Hons)
David joins Exosect with more than 20 years experience encompassing management and financial accounting, strategic planning and treasury. The focus of his experience has been in the pharmaceutical / bio-technology companies including Evotec, Zeneca Cellmark Diagnostics and ICI Biological Products.
Business Operations Manager - Philip Harris MBA, B.Sc (Hons)
Philip is one of the founding members of Exosect having come from the spin-out formation company Southampton Innovations. He is experienced in several technology related start-up companies with whom his responsibilities have included business planning, formation of management teams and raising equity finance. Philip attained an MBA with distinction in 1997 from Imperial College of Science and Technology.
International Marketing Manager - Jane Terry
Jane has over 20 years experience in advertising and marketing strategy development working internationally within a wide range of industries including automotive and FMCG grocery industries. She has spent a number of years at top advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett. Jane is responsible for marketing strategy development and implementation including digital marketing campaign management across all product groups.
International Sales Manager - Garry Thompson
With over 15 years experience in the UK Professional Pest Control sector, Garry has previously worked for several leading Pest Control Operators, including Ecolab, Terminix and Peter Cox Limited where he has had responsibility for the sales function and operations teams. Prior to his appointment at Exosect he worked for Envirocare where part of his remit was growing the new grounds maintenance division.
Market Development Manager - Garry Pease B.Sc. (Hons)
Garry manages the development team taking Exosect technologies from conception through to product launch. With over ten years experience in GLP/GEP full scale field trials Garry first joined the company in 2006 as Field Trials Manager and has since worked on development of both Professional and Agricultural product lines. Specialising in ecology and entomology at the University of Plymouth Garry gained his honours degree in 2000. His thesis ‘Water trapping winged insects in cereal fields - trap design and edge effects’ was later published by IOBC/wprs.
Research Manager & Lead Scientist- Clare Storm Ph.D (Nee Armsworth)
Clare is responsible for Exosect’s research programme, managing all internal and collaborative projects and bringing forward commercially appropriate new product concepts from the R&D pipeline. Clare first joined Exosect as part of a BBSRC funded project to research lure & kill applications on fruit flies. Before Exosect, Clare worked on placement at Rothamsted Research where she gained her doctorate and at University of Wales, Cardiff where she gained her honours degree in Biological Sciences. Her thesis, entitled ‘The influence of carabid beetle predators on the behaviour and dispersion of slug pests’ was funded by the BBSRC.
Supply Chain Manager - Phil Jeffery
Phil has over 20 years work experince in the defence, medical, consumer electronics and aerospace markets. His previous roles have included successfully introducing lean manufacturing techniques throughout the supply chain and outsourcing manufacturing to Eastern Europe, Mexico and the Far East. He is a member of the Institute of Operations Management, the Institute of Logistics and Transport and holds HNCs in Computer Assisted Engineering, Mechanical and Production Engineering, the Diploma of Operations Management and is a IRCA qualified ISO9000 Lead Auditor.
Quality Control & Quality Assurance Manager - Tony Ray
Tony has 25 years experience of quality control and analysis within the drinks industry, 4 years of which was in R&D. He joined Exosect from Bacardi Martini where he was senior analyst . Tony brings extensive experience in quality control and audit systems plus method development and problem solving within a production environment.
Market Development Consultant - David Cary B.Sc.
Educated in Applied Entomology, David has over 20 years experience in product development roles with a wide range of companies including Shell (Insecticide Division – Australia) and Sumitomo Chemical (Europe). He has worked in numerous countries with varying climates.
