Exosex LBAM Tab has been designed as our second generation product with an easy to hang dispenser consisting of a small hanger and tablet. The system is designed to complement an IPM / ICM / IFM system.
- The system is known as “Active” because it uses male Light Brown Apple moths to distribute the “Auto- Confusion” ™ effect throughout the orchard or vineyard. There are 180 dispensers used per hectare, lasting a maximum of 80 days.
- The system is flexible enough to tailor protection to vulnerable periods throughout the season.
- Pest life cycle is disrupted prior to egg laying and also prior to larvae hatching which is paramount as insecticides are ineffective against larvae which take harbourage through webbing leaves and buds or fruit.
- The system provides anti resistance support to insecticides. Protection can be provided right up to harvest, if required, with no residues.
- The tablets of Entostat powder is from a naturally occurring palm leaf, is solvent and propellant free. This makes the product safe to use close to homes, schools, hospitals and water courses.
- Control with contact insecticides is problematic once the larvae web themselves a shelter with plant foliage and fruiting bodies.
- The electrostatic Entostat powder is hydrophobic so works well in all weather conditions and silently works 24/7.
- Compact unit is extremely easy to install and saves on hazardous insecticide storage and application costs.
- There are no harvest intervals or restrictions to orchard or vineyard entry.
