A wide range of factors will affect the requirements of a pest control programme in the orchard. Weather, pest complex, previous infestation levels, geographic location and even different crop varieties demand flexibility in terms of the selection or products and application timing.
Exosex OFM has been designed to fit into an Integrated Pest Management system (IPM / ICM / IFM) and provides the flexibility that is required for this challenge. It suits conventional and organic systems.
- The system is ‘Active’, it employs male oriental fruit moths to distribute the confusion effect around the orchard. Therefore, it only requires 10 dispensers per acre / 25 dispensers per hectare.
- Entostat powder is naturally occurring, solvent and propellant free. It can be safely used close to homes, school, hospitals and water courses.
- The system provides continuous activity, which helps avoid problems associated with spray timing during difficult weather conditions.
- There are no harvest intervals
- There are no restrictions on orchard entry
